Centro Hotel Group has responded to the continuing boom on Berlin's hotel market. On 1 March 2017 the Hamburg group acquired Park Hotel Blub in Berlin-Neukölln. The 151-room hotel in the south-east of the capital is located within easy access of the Tempelhofer Freiheit, the Convention Center and the new Neuköllner Kiezkultur. Located close to the former "Blub" leisure pool, in future the hotel will operate under the name of Centro Park Hotel Berlin-Neukölln. All the rooms and suites in various categories feature spacious and brightly lit bathrooms and all the amenities which guests expect from a three-star superior hotel. In the coming months a number of areas of the hotel
will be adapted to the standards of Centro Hotel Group. The main target groups on which the new management will be concentrating include leisure and business guests. With more than 30 million overnight stays, Berlin has joined London and Paris among Europe's Top 3 destinations. The city's peak tourist figures within Germany have continued to increase in recent years. And at well over 30% the proportion of foreign visitors is relatively high compared to other parts of Germany. Centro Hotel Group CEO Rahman Neiro comments: "I'm delighted by this latest acquisition, because it reinforces our efforts to make the Centro brand a prominent one in the federal capital, too. This is a new and above all highly important location for our company."
At present Hamburg's Centro Hotel Group operates 55 hotels throughout Germany and Austria, offering a total of 5600 rooms. The group's expansion is to be continued with the Centro, FourSide and Boutique brands, together with the new budget brand NinetyNine Hotels from 2017.
